Plumber-with-the-leaky-pipes-syndrome

This little one-man web consultancy had been rather busy. Keeping Helderberg business on the first page of Google takes a lot of time out of one’s schedule.

A little bit of a plumber-with-the-leaky-pipes-syndrome has been developing. To me this has highlighted the importance of keeping one’s own house in order.

While all the work is coming in and I hardly have time for breakfast, never mind a new blog post, its easy to loose focus of what 's not paying. Simply holding on to the wave of work coming in from clients is challenging enough. But no wave in marketing is a sustainable wave. Especially within the realms of web marketing. The web is after all dynamic. “Sit back and relax on the laurels of the past...” is what the subconscious is saying when things are going well. “Don’t worry about this, or that, its not bringing in business right now, so skip it. Concentrate on what’s making you money now.”

This mentality will catch up with one. Especially in the modern, ever changing world. The dynamic world of online marketing does not allow you to rest on past glory for long. You need to remind the search engines that you are still here. You need to remind Google that your product or service is still relevant. You need to keep planting those seeds or there might be no harvest in the future...

With that in mind, I have finally started to make some much needed changes to my own site. As I am doing so, I will be keeping readers of my newsletter up to date with the changes, and the reasons behind these changes. So, any entrepreneur out there, in Helderberg Web design, or Stellenbosch eMarketing, or any other entrepreneur using eMarketing to their advantage, be sure to subscribe to my newsletter and follow some great free advice...
